Juliette Gangnat

Juliette Gangnat wants to share her knowledge of wine. In addition to a degree in translation (Bachelor of Arts), her curiosity leads her to take a Sommellier class at the beginning of the 1980s, for her own pleasure, at Lasalle College in Montreal. She moved to France with her family in 1995– in Burgundy, in the heart of the vineyard! Thinking that it is a pity to live surrounded by vineyards and not working in the wine business, she left her work as Office Manager to register for the Master “Wine Knowledge and International Wine Trade”, issued by the ENESAD, national school of agronomy at Dijon.
This was the opportunity for her to meet passionate vine growers and winemakers from many producing regions, to travel and learn so much ! This dense wine education increases her enthusiasm for the wine world.

Tasting and sensory analysis interests her more particularly. She passes a university degree “Wine Tasting and the Concept of Terroir”. This opens her mind to economic, historical, geographical and human contexts… everything that gives wine its cultural and gustatory complexity and value. She holds the Advanced Certificate of the Wine and Spirit Education Trust of London diploma. She regularly participates in competitions, as a judge: Chardonnay du Monde®, Effervescents du Monde®, Syrah du Monde®, Woman and Wines of the World International Competition™… She also visits various professional shows dedicated to wine: Vinexpo, Vinisud, Vinitaly, London International Wine Fair… For several years, she worked in the Export Department for a Burgundy wine trader before she settled on the French Riviera. To communicate her passion, she offers tasting workshops and wine events. Thanks to a relaxed, yet professional approach, she will make one discover new styles and flavors so that everyone understands and develops his own taste.
